Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) provide comprehensive health benefits to almost 36.6 million children up to age 19 nationwide. However, according to preliminary data on the impact of COVID-19, released September 23, 2020 by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the use of these benefits has decreased tremendously during the public health emergency. This webinar provides an overview of CMS’ recent data release, to raise awareness of the decline in service use. In this webinar, attendees heard about the Campaign’s newest resources and got a firsthand perspective from the National Association of School Nurses, School-Based Health Alliance, and Alameda Health Consortium, peer partner organizations and a grantee working to combat these challenges in their communities. All resources discussed in this webinar can be found on InsureKidsNow.gov.
