Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) cover essential mental and behavioral health services for kids and teens up to age 19. In this webinar, Melinda Baldwin, Chief of the Center for Mental Health Services at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, and Kim Proctor, Technical Director, Data and Systems Group within the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, discussed the current landscape of mental health service usage among children and teens. Organizations presented strategies and tips to promote mental and behavioral health to improve outcomes among children. Campaign resources organizations can use in outreach and enrollment efforts to promote mental health year-round, including social media posts and graphics, newsletter articles and text messages, were featured.
